Gears of War 3 four-player co-op confirmed. Anya is female soldier

A bunch of new information has come out about Gears of War 3, which was just announced with a new trailer on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon by creator Cliff Bleszinski. It releases April 8, 2011 exclusively for Xbox 360.
In the trailer, you can see that one of the most oft-requested features according to Cliffy B. will be included in the series for the first time for the third installment, and that is a female soldier. Now it has been confirmed that the solder is Anya. Previously Anya Stroud was limited to a non-combat communications officer role.
Additionally, four-player co-op has also been confirmed! And it is likely that Anya may be included as one of the playable characters in the co-op campaign.
Gears of War 3 will arrive in North America and Asia on April 5, in Japan in April 7, and in Europe and all other territories April 8. Like Gears of War 2, it will be Xbox 360 exclusive, with Bleszinski having said in 2008 that there will be no more installments of the series on the PC.
Lastly, Microsoft has announced that the Gears of War series as a whole has topped the 12 million units sold mark!
