Metroid: Other M has finally gotten some new gameplay footage shown off in a new trailer for the upcoming Wii-exclusive action game. It releases in the U.S. on June 27, 2010 and in Europe on September 24th.
As we’ve reported on previously, Metroid: Other M is set to take the franchise in an entirely new direction by combining the 3D action skills of Ninja Gaiden developer Team Ninja with the expertise of Nintendo and Retro Studios. The end result is a super interesting, entirely unique mix of old-school-style side-scrolling Metroid action with first-person Metroid Prime-style gameplay and topped off with 3rd-person Ninja Gaiden style combat for a dynamic, slick, fast-paced mix of pure awesomeness.
Don’t be fooled by the initial 30 seconds of cinematics in this new trailer, the gameplay goodness of this Samus-filled donut will come oozing out soon after, barraging your brain with gameplay goodness.
