Sony Move games announced: SOCOM 4, LittleBigPlanet, Sports Champions, Move Party, Motion Fighters and Eye Pet

Sony showed off a number of games for the PlayStation Move at their GDC 2010 show. Below is a runthrough of the games and what Move will bring to the table for them.
1. Sports Champions
This is Sony’s Wii Sports. It includes mini-games like Gladiator Duel and Table Tennis. The former has players using TWO PlayStation Move motion controllers which act like a sword and a shield in what is essentially an arena-based fighting game. You use horizontal and vertical swings of your arms to slash with the sword while blocking attacks with the shield. By uppercutting your opponent into the air, you can do Devil May Cry-style air combos on them. And like a more traditional fighting game, pulling off certain moves will illicit canned animations. For example you can taunt your opponent by putting the two motion controllers behind your back.
Table Tennis is exactly as it sounds, and plays like you’d expect. It is highly realistic as you can perform trick shots by using certain gestures, depending on how you hold and swing the motion controller. You can also easily put spin on the ball. Sports Champions will also include an Archery game, and certainly others as well.
2. Move Party
Continuing on with the Wii-style mini-game compilations is Move Party. This is a WarioWare-style mini-game collection that features “augmented reality”-style games that make use of the PlayStation Eye. This means that the player is actually shown on screen via the PlayStation Eye camera and video capturing, and then you proceed to play the mini-game using the Move motion controller. In the games, the Move in your hand is replaced with an object that you use for the mini-game. So in one you are swatting bugs with a tennis racket, in another you are painting with a paintbrush, and in another your trimming hair. These games come in fast clips just like in WarioWare.
3. Motion Fighter
This game is essentially a fighting game in which the player (from a behind-the-back perspective) has their moves/motions translated directly into the game. So if you crouch, your fighter on-screen crouches, if you throw a punch, it’s thrown in-game exactly as thrown in real-life. The only catch is that you will need to perform moves in a certain way to pull of actual special moves. And in the demo one elbow-spin didn’t work on the first attempt. Either way, it’s a nifty idea.
4. SOCOM 4
SOCOM 4 plays exactly as you’d imagine. You use the Motion Controller to aim and shoot and the stick on the Sub-Controller to move your character (you can also replace the Sub-Controller with an actual Dual Shock). In fact, you can actually play SOCOM 4 with a Dual Shock instead of the Sony Move, if you prefer. This game shows that normal shooters will work with the Sony Move system and won’t always require exaggerated movements to play.
5. LittleBigPlanet
LittleBigPlanet will be making use of the Sony Move, in which you use the Motion Controller to not only control your Sack Boy or Sack Girl, but you can also use it with the level editor.
Other games that will be supporting the PlayStation Move system include Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, Eye Pet, The Shoot, Slider, TV Superstars, Toy Story 3 and The Lord of the Rings: Aargorn’s Quest.
The Shoot: A lightgun shooter where the goal is simply to shoot everything in your path!
TV Superstars: A mini-game collection in which you play TV reality-show style challenges.
EyePet: The pets return in this PlayStation Move family-oriented virtual pet. Use the Move controllers to interact with your pets by grooming them and playing with them.
