Boom Blox developer making NATAL game fired by EA
It looks like the guys who created Boom Blox for the Wii are no longer working on a Project NATAL — the upcoming Xbox 360 motion-sensing camera peripheral — launch title, according to reports.

Reports from Blue’s News and others say that publisher Electronic Arts has fired the team that was in development with a game for Microsoft’s upcoming peripheral, and that team (which includes developer Jeff Dixon) were the same team that create Steven Spielberg’s Boom Blox series.

Boom Blox was highly regarded as one of the most fun and original Wii games released on the platform, and was successful enough to spawn a sequel, although it didn’t exactly light up the charts.

Still, it’s sad to see such a seemingly talented developer (who I’m sure would’ve used NATAL in some very interesting ways) get the shaft.

Do you think this bodes badly for the NATAL in general? Or do you think that the game they were creating simply wasn’t up to snuff?
