Aliens VS Predator 4 AKA Sega’s AvP 2 wanted by developer Rebellion

AvP 2 or that is, the fourth main Aliens vs Predator game, is something that developer Rebellion is in talks with Sega about. Which is certainly no susprise after the game did quite well for itself, shooting to the top of the UK charts; the developer’s home country.

“We’re delighted to see the game shoot to the top of the UK charts,” said company co-founder and CEO Jason Kingsley, speaking from Paris. “We wanted Aliens Versus Predator to be a critical success as well as a commercial success, which we think we have achieved. We’re also in discussions with Sega about ongoing support for AvP, and also about a sequel to the game.”

“I won’t say what stage those negotiations are in, but we would love to revisit the franchise. Fox are excited about what we’re doing, and we feel we’ve added value to the franchise. We would love to work with Sega again, there were a lot of things we couldn’t fit into the original. We are trying to do all the right things to make the franchise a success now and in the future.”

Aliens vs Predator has quickly become the fastest-sellilng new release of 2010 in the UK, even outselling Mass Effect 2 in that country.

So things are looking up that we’ll see another AvP title sooner rather than later. Good news, as the franchise is such a ripe one for videogames.

If they do make a sequel I would like it if they didn’t uncloak the Predator every time you did a melee or use the shoulder cannon, cause if you happen to notice in the Predator movie the Predator stayed cloak even when he used his melee weapon and shoulder cannon. They cause also add into single and multiplayer the Predators self destruct and allow the player to use it when he is cornered or has low health.

i really liked number one. i also wanted to kinda play a facehugger to. , but also me and my freinds said we should somehow create a number 2 on our own. and i kept thinking of putting more campaigns in campaigns. like theres different storys like on aliens you could play as a face hugger a drone a warrior drone a pretorian then a queen but like then in the end you can unlock a new story like a predalien story or a leader elder predator. i also agrea with micheal it woulkd be great if your fighting more things this time and also like the new aliens game make a whole variety of aliens you fight and mabye more predators and it would be cool if you could choose who is winning the war in the end you could choose aliens predators or marines.

I think that avp was okay 7/10 but it could have been better the campaign was not that good very short but the multiplayer things like infestation and predator hunt was and still is really fun i hope they will learn from there mistakes and try to make all the campaigns longer i really hope for some decent customisation as well

make it a perk, add perks to the game like acid blood (cause damage to your opponent when youre close enough and they damage you) and like you said self destruct (upon death explode) make one that makes the marines weapons shoot faster stuff like that
