After way too long of a wait, Nintendo has finally announced a release date for the Wii Classic Controller Pro. This upgraded version of the Classic Controller with TWO proper shoulder buttons that are no longer side by side (but one-behind-the-other like a PS1 controller) will hit America this April 2010.
In addition to the shoulder buttons it also includes larger and better grips.
The controller will ship alongside Monster Hunter Tri. In fact, it will even be bundled along with the game! A great way to sell the controller and get it into as many hands as possible.
The controller comes in black or white flavors and will only cost $20 on its own if you buy it seperately. Or you can get the controller and Monster Hunter Tri for $60.
Given how great Wii Play has sold given that you get a free Wii Remote with it, you have to imagine that this will make Monster Hunter Tri even more of a sales hit, since you save money on the new Classic Controller Pro. Which must definitely have Capcom smiling ear to ear.
