Top 100 Biggest Games of 2010. Happy New Year from VGB!

Happy New Year everyone! See 2010’s biggest videogames in the Top 100 overview below. 2010 is looking to be yet another awesome year for gamers!
Anticipation without means, is half the fun or so it seems. While you are now looking forward to a great many games, at the end of 2010 we believe the listed titles will be the games you fondly remember playing. Both logical and indeterminable factors taken into account are: Hype, developer potential, nostalgia, series’ past sales and successes, all counted towards this unbiased Top 100 of big games we expect to see in 2010.
No doubt one of your favorite games is missing*. I’ve had to cut about 100 games from the original overview in editing the past 20 hours. I’m pretty happy with how the top 50 turned out, and if your favorites aren’t high enough in the list I look forward to seeing what your top 5 looks like. If you’re looking for the release date and/or media from a certain game, click on its name and you’ll go to a new page with the most relevant info. With that said…

So… What are your favorites?
* The long disclaimer about why certain games are/aren’t included:
The next Zelda game, Diablo III, Thief 4, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, RAGE, American McGee’s Return of Alice, Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Gears of War 3, Grand Theft Auto 5, Saints Row 3, Ghost Recon 4, L.A. Noire, Agent, Guild Wars 2, Dragon Ball Online, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Pikmin 3, Dragon Quest X, the next James Bond, and Tomb Raider & MechWarrior reboots don’t have a clear launch window yet or aren’t expected to arrive until 2011. I’m sure the next Madden, WWE, NBA, FIFA, PES, PGA and other sports titles will be great, but they haven’t been talked about yet. Some games like Beyond Good & Evil 2, Kirby Adventure Wii, TimeSplitters 4 and Eight Days seem to be on hold. And by now I think Duke Nukem Forever and a Final Fantasy VII Remake are a lost cause. — While other unconfirmed/undated titles like Dead Space 2, Mortal Kombat 9, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Twisted Metal PS3, Professor Layton 3, Final Fantasy Gaiden, Wii Relax, and a Half-Life 2: Episode 3 & Portal 2 set are my guesstimates for a Fall 2010 launch. Then there are these awesome DLC releases that I didn’t know where to place: Dragon Age: Origins – Return to Ostagar, Left 4 Dead 2: The Passing, Assassin’s Creed II: The Battle of Forli & Bonfire of the Vanities, Modern Warfare 2 Map Pack 1 & 2, and Resident Evil 5: Lost in Nightmares & Desperate Escape. I also wish I could’ve included more handheld titles (DS, PSP, iPhone) and games from Indie developers, but they are often not announced until nearly complete. No doubt E3 2010 will hold a few surprise announcements we don’t know about yet too.
