Capcom delays big titles further to Q2 2010 because Q1 is too busy

Capcom has officially delayed a number of their huge early 2010 game releases in order to avoid an overly saturated early 2010 release schedule.
A schedule that is solely busy due to the seeming total fear that gripped publishers who were set to go up against competitor Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. And due to the sale numbers of that game, can you blame them?
Here is the list of games officially delayed to April 2010 or beyond:
* Dead Rising 2
* Lost Planet 2
* Monster Hunter Tri
* Super Street Fighter IV
And the official reason for the above delays.
“Capcom made the strategic decision to postpone the launch of titles that were scheduled for the 4th quarter of the current fiscal year. This is due to rapid changes in the market conditions, caused primarily by the 4th quarter introduction by competitors of a large number of new games.”
Do you think this a good thing or a bad thing? There are already way too many great games for early 2010, so I reckon that more time to spend polishing up these titles is actually a good thing.
