Ghost Recon 4: Future Soldier subtitle trademarked by Ubisoft

Ghost Recon 4: Future Soldier looks like it’ll be the title for the next proper game in the Ghost Recon franchise.

Ubisoft has trademarked the name above as discovered by Superannuation for the previously announced Ghost Recon 4, which has seen little information or news released since the announcement that they were making the game.

How far into the future the new game will take place remains to be seen. But given that “future” is directly stated in the title, I’d expect that this new game will be set much further in the future than previous games, which have always been set at least a few years ahead of modern day. Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 for example was set in the year 2014.
