On Xbox Live Arcade today: QIX++

Get an Xbox 360 Live 1600 Points CardFrom today, at 9AM GMT (2AM PDT), you can play Taito’s QIX++ on Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360. QIX++ will be available worldwide (except in Australia, India, Korea or New Zealand) for 800 Microsoft Points (that’s US$10 / €9.60 / £6.80 / CAN$12.40 / AU$13.20).

Inheriting the style of the renowned arcade title, QIX++ allows you to take up the fight again in a variety of different ways. With customized weapon improvements, a technique-based scoring system, and events triggered by opening Item Containers, the evolution of the series has truly come a long way. The object of the game is to defeat the QIX using the marker. When the total area cut off by the marker reaches a percentage equal to the Threshold, your final attack begins and you have cleared the stage. Includes sleek graphics and cool sound effects! Reloaded with new features and a multiplayer mode!

Game features include:

  • Hi-def technology: The power of high-definition technology offers an enhanced playing experience featuring sleek graphics and cool sound effects.
  • High score: Box the QIX in as tightly as possible and aim for the highest possible score. Polish your skills, work your way through each stage, and fight to get your name on the leaderboard for each separate game mode.
  • Multiplayer: Enjoy 16 challenging stages and multiplayer mode. Battle it out with three other players via Xbox LIVE.
  • I couldn’t find footage of the HD update. So here’s a video from the original QIX arcade game:

The Deal of the Week is Rock Band No Doubt “The Singles 1992–2003″ Album.
