A Boy and His Blob Wii 2 co-op and other retro revival ideas possible

A Boy and His Blob Wii 2 looks like it is a definite possibility, and it could include new features like cooperative play!
This is according to a new interview with WayForwar’ds Sean Velasco on the possibility of a future sequel for A Boy And His Blob Wii as well as other future remakes from the developer and publisher Majesco.
Sean says that Majesco does own the rights to “Princess Blobette” and thus says there is “no reason she could not appear in a new game”. He went as far as to state that “we have such awesome ideas for her!” which is an extremely positive reaction.
This means we could very well see an updated version of the NES A Boy And His Blob sequel which was called, “A Boy And His Blob in The Rescue of Princess Blobette”, and was released for the Game Boy as the follow-up to the NES original.
Or we could just see the character in an all-new game.
The interview ends with Sean stating that other classic revivals are definitely a possibility from WayForward, to quote:
“At WayForward, we love breathing life into classic franchises. I would not be surprised at all to see more retro revivals from WayForward.”
