The first Guitar Hero 6 song has been revealed by Tesla guitarist Dave Rude who was speaking to Brave Words & Blood Knuckles in an interview.
The song that will be included in the upcoming sequel is “Modern Day Cowboy” off their 1986 debut album Mechanical Resonance.
He said that they had been contacted by Activision to be included in the game, and that Modern Day Cowboy was one of the three songs they suggested to Activision for inclusion in the future product.
He then went on to praise Guitar Hero and what the rhythm genre of music games has accomplished in general, saying:
“I think it’s a good thing. Even if people don’t learn to play guitar, it’s exposing them to all sorts of cool guitar-based music that they wouldn’t have ever heard otherwise.” — Joystiq
