Ridge Racer 8 title Accelerated trademarked by Namco Bandai
Ridge Racer 8 may be coming soon . . . or at least, something like it.
Namco has issued a new trademark for a Ridge Racer game that they have entitled “Ridge Racer Accelerated” in Japan.
What does this mean?
Well it could be anything, but given the new subtitle it’s most likely not a re-release but rather an all-new game. Though it doesn’t list a platform, which means it could be either for PSP or PS3. Or even a new downloadable game for PSN.
Which seems like it’d make the most sense in my humble opinion. Now we play the waiting game to see what exactly this title is.

Last one I played was Ridge Racer 7 back in 2007, so it’s about time for a new console one!
