Castlevania level 1 remake in 3D for Half-Life mod
Do you wonder what Castlevania would look like in 3D if it was done in the style of Half-Life 2 from first-person pespective?
Well wonder no longer! Modder M0rtanius has re-created the first stage of the original NES Castlevania (which you can read my opinion of in my Castlevania 1 NES review) for Half-Life 2 and called it, fittingly, “Half-LifeVania”.
The level is re-created exactly as you’d expect it, with all of the candles and background objects in their correct places, as well as the original tune music in the background. Sadly you don’t get to see Half-Life versions of the game’s enemies. Then it’d be PERFECT!
Either way it’s still cool to see. Looks a little weird in first-person, but I like how it’s simply a “corrider” that goes straight forward “forever”.
