Alan Wake to launch in late May 2010 worldwide?

Alan Wake may have a release date of May 2010 globally for the long-in-development Remedy survival horror game that was announced no-less than 5 years ago. This is according to MCV who says they have “sources” close to the developer who have revealed the information.

So why May? Apparently Microsoft is planning on marketing the game on a massive scale as if it was a Hollywood movie event. Of course all of this is rumor, but you can imagine that Microsoft wants to turn this game into a huge deal, since they’ve sucken so much time and money into it. It looks quite amazing too, I might add. I’m definitely interested.

The game is also finished and this will give the developers enough extra time to add that final layer of spit-polish to the game to make it glean in the sun. And as we all know, polish is really what seperates the “good” games from the “great” games.
