Borderlands 2, a sequel to the original Borderlands, a game that was highly praised, is almost assuredly coming. As Mike Neumann, the creative director for developer Gearbox, said that continuing the series with a “Borderlands 2″ would be a “no-brainer”, as long as all the pieces fall into place.

Speaking to VG247, Neumann is quoted as saying:

“Borderlands is really exciting. Everyone here loves the franchise, and it seems like the public is really coming back with praise and love. So yeah, if everything makes sense, Borderlands 2 seems like a no-brainer to me. With anything, especially a new IP, if people want more and you can make more, and everybody can make money and do good business there, it obviously makes really good sense to do that. Obviously nothing so far is planned. We’re working on DLC. We haven’t really had any talks about a sequel, other than water cooler talk like, ‘Wouldn’t this be cool’ kind of stuff.”

BORDERLANDS 2!!!! If there won’t be one, I’ll be very disappointed in Gearbox. I want to fight the Claptrap Ninja Assassin lol. And in my opinion, for BL2, a wider, broader map. Going into the vault anf finding some B.A. weaponry would be cool. And if it’s going to be as more brutal, add more commentary because to me personally it felt a little depressing with all that desert lol. BUT!!!! borderlands rocked for sure.
