Looking for Dragon Age: Origins cheat codes for the PC version of the game? Below you will find a list of the console command cheat codes for this epic RPG from developer BioWare.
CHEAT CODES
In order to enable the cheat codes console, you must do the following steps. Skip to #9 if you’re using Steam to play the game.
1. Make a shortcut to your desktop of “daorigins.exe” (Dragon Age/bin_ship/daorigins.exe). Note: use the .exe that is found in the “/bin_ship/” folder, because multiple wrong daorigins.exe are in the parent folder.
2. Bring up shortcut properties.
3. Under “Target” add the following: -enabledeveloperconsole (after — “daorigins.exe” ).
4. Now go into the keybindings.ini file, which should be located in “My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings\”.
5. Find the line “OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_X” (GRAVE is default, change X to any button that is not already used in the game.)
6. Save the file.
7. Start the game with the shortcut you created on your desktop (daorigins.exe - shortcut).
8. In-game, you press the key that you have chosen and then type any of the codes below.
9. To enable the cheat codes console in the Steam version, right click on the game icon (in Steam), and select “properties”. Then click “Set Launch Options”. Finally enter “-enabledeveloperconsole” into the box and hit OK. Once you’ve loaded your last save, hit the “~” tilde button on your keyboard, and then type any of the codes below.

Warning: While most of these codes work fine. The developers of the game have pointed out that this is a dev panel and as a result using some of the commands may break your current save game, so it’s best to back it up before you try anything. Reader Cgoodno suggests staying away from immortal, addparty, ai off, killallhostiles, chargen, zz_pre_demo2, zz_pre_strategy, and similar commands.

Thanks to Paul for the Steam tip, and Huor for helping out.
it doesn’t happen. console isn’t openning. please help me…
If anyone is having trouble with this (like i did originally) you are probably using the wrong .exe file. Take special note to use the .exe that is found in the “/bin_ship/” folder. Multiple daorigins.exe are in the parent folder see use a careful eye.
When I press the key, i can’t interact with the game. I think it’s because I’m in command mode, but i don’t know how to get out of it.
Do i need to press any key after inserting the code?
@tmoura - You need to press “enter” to get the command to execute, and also to get out of command mode (if the game isn’t responding) - I said to press “esc” in my last post, that was wrong (sorry, was writing that post from memory) - hit “enter” to exit the console.
I’ve just downloaded the modding tools, and am trying to find a simple way to bind a script to a keyboard command (to bypass the whole console issue) - will post if I find anything…
I can’t seem to edit the daorigins.exe file in bin_ship. since theres no target line for it. how do i change this? please and thank you.

greets L3g4cys
yea….i cant input the “-enabledeveloperconsole” part in my target of my shortcut… keep saying invalid….. help plzzz
My computer will not let me alter the target so i can even use the cheat.
Alright, everything is set just fine, but when I try to press the button I set for the console nothing pops up and I can’t do anything. (No pressing enter doesn’t work, I’ve tried every key on the keyboard) I thought it might be because I paused the game first but even when I am in the middle of battle and press the console button the games continues to run, but I can’t click or press anything (I tried to enter a command and press enter, but still nothing happened)
Is this something that might have to do with a patch? My game is patched so if that is a problem please tell me so I can re-install the game. otherwise, I have no idea what is going on.
P.S: This might be it, and if it is, well you can call me an idiot freely but I am using a Fixed EXE so I don’t need the DVD. It might be the problem since it technically isn’t the original EXE file. I will try and see if having the original works and post back. It should be noted though that using a Fixed EXE file might not let you use the console.
UPDATE: Yes. I was right, I cannot use cheats while using a fixed EXE file. It is weird, I guess there is just something in it that makes it so I can’t use it. Nothing pops up but the cheats still work.
Also, some things I noticed; Money you cheated to get doesn’t stay with you or doesn’t go past a certain amount sometimes, cheating to gain respect DOES NOT give you the bonuses, you still have to earn those yourself, When using a cheat you lose all the saves YOU made yourself, it left me with the last same the game made which was eons ago. Breaking the party limit for some reason doesn’t seem to work for me (or I am not doing it right) but I can still empty and replace part members, just not add more than 3. Immortality is pretty neat as well. Just thought I would let you all know.
