WiiWare demos are finally coming announced Nintendo President Satoru Iwata during a financial briefing from the Nintendo head honcho.
As is self-explanatory, this means that you will be able to try out a demo of a WiiWare game before you purchase it. Something that Nintendo has failed to offer (at their peril as far as I’m concerned) until this point.
Details on exactly how the demos will work wasn’t revealed, but it seems that only a few titles will have demos available, at least initially.
Hopefully Nintendo will come to their senses and allow downloadable demos of not only every game on WiiWare, but also all of their Virtual Console titles. There is no reason why we shouldn’t be able to try out every Virtual Console game on offer for say, 5 or 10 minutes, before we buy it. Having to buy blind is a pretty ridiculous thing.
And while they are at it, they need to integrate a full screenshots gallery and videos of each Wii Shop title viewable FROM the WiiShop Channel. No reason users should have to back out and go to the separate Nintendo Channel just to get a taste of the game they are looking to buy.
