Dementium 2 DS screenshot. Help Renegade Kid secure publishers for their future ideas!
Renegade Kid, the developers of Dementium: The Ward and Moon for DS, need your help!

As the renegade developer explains in the video below, they believe that original DS games are something that the system lacks. And although they have been striving towards that goal with their first-person shooting DS games, filling up that lack of FPS void on DS (with Dementium 2 up next), the developers belive that there is a lack of unique games on DS in general.

The reason for this, according to him, is due to the fact that publishers, the ones who hold all the power, do not believe that original IP will sell on the DS. This means that Renegade Kid has had problems with securing publishers for the future products that they have in mind.

And so, Renegade Kid has turned to one of the most powerful “word-of-mouth” tools available. Youtube. Jools Watsham, lead designer of Renegade Kid, is asking for our support. He wants to get as many people as possible to comment on the Renegade Kid You Can Help youtube video page in order to show publishers that people actually ARE interested in unique games for the DS.

He then intends in using this youtube page as a weapon against publishers who tell him that there is no interest in the kind of games Renegade Kids puts out. His hope is that this can help the company secure more publishers for their future ideas, which they believe are unique for the DS.

Here is his video, please click the link above or the title link in the upper left hand of the youtube video and leave a comment on his youtube page to give your support!

Sadly, I was not a fan of Dementium as you can see in my Dementium: The Ward review. I haven’t tried Moon yet though. I hear it’s the better game.
