Call of Duty: World at War 2 mentioned in latest OPM

Call of Duty: World At War 2 box artwork (fake) The latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine has an article mentioning Call of Duty: World at War 2.

The OPM article on page 20 is titled “The Secret Games of 2010.” It says the following about Call of Duty: World at War 2.

To quote: “Insider slips reveal three big names you can already pencil for the next year. Killzone 3 is reportedly deep in development, Insomniac’s Full Moon Show podcast hints at a project we can only conclude is Resistance 3, and a Treyarch employee’s online mentions a Call of Duty: World at War sequel.”

What do you think about a World At War sequel? Is 2010 too soon? Do you think that the game warrants a sequel?

I think a lot people want to see the Call of Duty series go in an entirely new direction or to a new war front. So I wonder if this really would be a direct sequel to World At War.

It’s an interesting development non-the-less. Also mentioned in the article for 2010 is Killzone 3 and Resistance 3, both already reportedly in development.

I think this is going to be great, especially if they get new zombie maps. I think zombies was one of the things that made CoD: WaW a great game. The multiplayer kinda sucks now because of MW2 and now a bunch of crappy people on PS3 play, sorry but it’s true.

I think a WAW sequal would be awesome! but i wonder which campaign of wwII they would use? D-day maybe? get some battle of the buldge action in there? americans and english vs germans!

World at War sequel would make my day, I won’t buy Modern Warfare because its just not the same, all the guns do the same thing, theres not nazi zombies, maps are confusing at times, and since when did the Soviet Union become a modern country? They’ve been gone since 1991. Bring back WAW maybe do the campaigns in France, and North Africa, there are a number of other battle in the Pacific you could cover in this game. One thing I would like to see is a full list of countries to chose from, I mean not just Germans, Japanese, Americans, and Soviets… Add Italians, Canadians, British, and all the other Balkan countries that were involved. This game has so much more potential than modern warfare, because this event really happened and people know about it. So make another and just start adding on to it.

I loved world at war, great action, great story, pretty historicly acurate. That’s what I like, the realism and the historical aspect of it (not to mention call of duty games are the best shooters period). The Nazi zombies were cool for an extra level but a whole game of them??? Please don’t!!! You want to battle zombies play Resident Evil.You want to battle nazi zombies play Wolfenstein. They only came up with that over 15 years ago. You want to battle unrealisic corny looking creatures play Halo. Call of duty is supposed to be about realism and originaly WWII. If you wanna change the war I’m not totally opposed to that but not anouther zombie game. I say keep it WWII only tackle a differant aspect. Or even a WWI game would be interesting. Trench warfair, old tanks, musterd gas, horses, etc!!!

I would love for there to be another world at war 2. There just isnt any call of duty to compare. The best part about that game is that it felt more action packed. The worst part was jugarnaut. You should put this in the works i promise you that you will be happy with the results of customers. I know so many people that have been hoping that you guys will put this together. Just do It…
