Pre-order Assassin's Creed II for PCUbisoft silently announced via Twitter that the PC version of Assassin’s Creed 2 has been delayed into the year 2010.

PC gamers won’t be seeing Ezio assassinate those who killed his family until the first quarter of 2010. But Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will still be able to pick up the game on November 17th, 2009.

The PC announcement read as follows: “Assassin’s Creed 2 PC has moved to the first quarter of 2010. A bit more time for the dev team to deliver the best quality game to you.”

Assassin’s Creed 2 is an epic story of family, vengeance and conspiracy set in the pristine, yet brutal, backdrop of a Renaissance Italy. Ezio befriends Leonardo da Vinci, takes on Florence’s most powerful families and ventures throughout the canals of Venice where he learns to become a master assassin.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft’s Montreal studio has continued their series of developer diaries. In part 4, titled “All’s Fair In Love and War”, a rather bad-ass Ezio must pick his fights if he wants to live through the day.

I am not shocked AT ALL by that news.

Why’s that Jake? Do you expect them to cancel it next year or something?

From what they said, they didn’t cancel the PC version, so I’m rather surprised it’s a console-exclusive this year.
