Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 3 announced for Xbox Live, PSN and Steam in early 2010
An all-new Rocket Knight adventure has been announced for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 via Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and on PC via Steam!
The new game will be released in early 2010 by Climax Studios and will contain the same run and gun-style of shooting/side-scrolling gameplay that fans of the classic Rocket Knight Adventures title will know and love.
Although, of course, this new version features an all-new 3D graphics engine (but still side-scrolling like the classic 2D games), and has been updated for modern play, even though all of the classic elements are intact. As you can see in this debut video.
In this new adventure, it is 15 years after the ending of the last game. Sparkster is no longer on Zephyros and the pigs have teamed up with the opposums to take on an army of wolves. This has left Axel Gear to become the new Rocket Knight!
Previously the series 2 main games and 1 spin-off, with the original Rocket Knight Adventures being released on the Sega Master System/Mega Drive by Konami from designer Nobuya Nakazato, creator of several titles in the Contra series such as Contra III: The Alien Wars, Hard Corps and PS2’s Contra: Shattered Soldier.
Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 2 was released on the Genesis as a true sequel, with the Super NES version being a spin-off.
wow I played rocket knight adventure when I was 12 I beat boss fights i’m getting on 2010 I like this new game I play this for a long time
but never played sparkster on snes ever.
Yeah it’s great we’re getting all these classic series revived.
