In an interview with Oddworld creator and Oddworld Inhabitants founder Lorne Lanning, he confirmed that the Oddworld series will be coming to both PSN and PC via Steam soon! News that will surely make Oddworld fans very happy, as the series has been quite “dead” for some time.

Here’s the gist:

The first two games, Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, will both be coming to the PlayStation Network very soon, as Loren Lanning stated that they literally just signed the contract. This may or may not include the following two games: Munch’s Oddysee and Stranger’s Wrath.

On the PC side of things, a collection called “The Oddbox” will be releasing on Steam soon that includes all four titles: Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath. This package will be coming to Steam “and other download services”, possibly the PS3 as well.

Currently you can download both Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus via Steam for only $10, but the latter two games in the Oddworld series aren’t currently available.

As far as anything new is concerned, Lanning would only say that “we hope to have an announcement soon”. So we’ll just have to wait and see on that front.
