I've done the Basic Run Plus several times, with scores as high as 160, but it never lets me do more than the short distance. How do I unlock the longer distances?

For Slalom, you can always use your hands on the Balance Board in order to have more control. Same with the Soccer Heading. As to Running, you only have to shake the Wiimote up and down in order to run, the same thing that happens when you run in place and move your arms. For all levels of Snowball Fight, keep the Wiimote resting on your hip to steady your aim. On the Expert level of Snowball Fight, you may notice that when people throw snowballs at you, they aim only for where you were 3-5 seconds ago, and don't adjust very quickly if you swap sides quickly. Therefore, take aim while on one side, let them throw, adjust your aim to the other side, and shift your balance completely. Also, take advantage of the rapid-fire snowball throwing ability to get rid of the snowmen.

On Island Cycling expert, to get to the castle and all the flags you have to go up the mountain just to the left of the waterfall. don't take the cave on the right, stay to the left. That will take you up to the castle and the pond.

What's the deal with the dog "getting flags" for you? We haven't had that happen.

Also, are there ANY shortcuts on Expert? We haven't found them yet. For instance, when you're up by the ruins, or on the beach (how do you jump? We can't get up speed!), is there any way to reduce distance?

Why would you want to get rid of the dog? If you're biking, the dog gets flags for you - saves on distance!

The last flag is at the upper level, through a cave, at the sandpit where you have to turn right round, as it's a dead end. It's best to approach from the wobbly bridge end.
