SCRIBBLENAUTS MERIT LIST
You can earn awards or achievements called “Merits” in Scribblenauts by accomplishing different tasks. Here is a list of how to get them. Just make sure you complete the level or you won’t actually earn the Merit.

1. 5TH Cell – Spawn a 5TH Cell employee.
2. All New – Complete a level with objects you’ve never used before.
3. Architect – Write 2 buildings.
4. Arrrrrr – Attach the Jolly Roger to a flagpole.
5. Audiophile – Write 2 or more instruments or audio objects.
6. Bioterrorist – Introduce the plague and infect 2 or more people.
7. Botanist – Write 2 or more plants.
8. Chauffeur – Drive a vehicle with more than one passenger
9. Chef – Write two or more foods
10. Closet – Write two or more clothes.
11. Combo – Combine any two objects together.
12. Cupid – Shoot a humanoid with Cupid’s arrow.
13. Decorator – Write 2 furniture objects.
14. Electrolysis – Shock someone with electricity.
15. Elemental – Write more than one element.
16. Entertainer – Write 2 or more entertainment objects.
17. Entomologist – Spawn two or more insects.
18. Environmentalist – Write 2 or more environmental objects.
19. Explosive – Spawn two or more objects that explode.
20. Exterminator – Two or more humanoidsor animals start a level, and are destroyed.
21. Fantasynovel – Write 2 fantasy objects.
23. Fashion Designer – Cloth Maxwell’s head, body, legs, feet and give him an accessory.
24. Firefighter – Put out at least 2 fires.
25. Genius – Complete a level twice in a row.
26. Glutton – Feed someone or something 3 times in a row.
27. Gold Digger – Spawn three or more precious stones.
28. Grab and Go – Write 2 or more grabbing tool objects.
29. Haxxor – Write 5 or more developers.
30. Healer – Spawn two or more medical objects.
31. Herpetologist – Write 2 or more reptiles.
32. Humanitarian – Write two or more humans.
33. Infected – Spawn a zombie and make it infect at least two humanoids.
34. Janitor – Spawn two or more cleaning objects.
35. Jockey – Use an animal as a vehicl.e
36. Joust – Defeat a knight while Maxwell is mounted.
37. Knight School – Kill a dragon using a melee weapon.
38. Luddite – Short out 3 or more objects.
39. Lumberjack – Cut down three or more trees.
40. Mad Hatter – Place a hat on four or more humanoids or animals.
41. Magician – Use the magic wand to turn something into a toad.
42. Marine Biologist – Write 2 or more fish.
43. Mechanic – Jump start a vehicle.
44. Messiah – Turn a humanoid into a deity.
45. Militant – Use 2 weapons and 1 weaponized vehicle.
46. Miner 49er – Dig a massive hole.
47. Miser – Obtain a total of 300,000 or more Ollars
48. New Object – Write a completely new item.
49. No Weapons – Don’t write a weapon to complete a level.
50. Novice Angler – Catch a fish with a fishing pole.
51. Old School – Write 2 or more classic videogame objects.
52. Organ Donor – Spawn two or more organs.
53. Ornithologist – Write 2 or more birds.
54. Paleontologist – Spawn two ore more dinosaurs.
55. Pariah – Make 3 humanoids or animals flee.
56. Picasso – Write 2 or more drawing object tools.
57. Pilot – Spawn two or more aircraft.
58. Prodigy – Complete a level 3 times in a row.
59. Pyromaniac – Set at least 4 objects on fire in a level.
60. Reanimator -Bring a corpse back to life.
61. Roped In – Write 2 or more rope objects.
62. Russian Doll – Place an object inside another object, and then place that object into a third object.
63. Savior – Two or more humanoids or animals start and finish a level alive.
64. Sea Two – Write 2 or more sea vehicles.
65. Series of Tubes – Spawn ‘tube’ five times.
66. Shoveler – Spawn two or more digging objects.
67. Smasher – Write 2 or more melee weapons.
68. Smuggler – Hide an item in a container.
69. Split Personality – Write 2 or more cutting or splitting tool objects.
70. Stealth – Destroy a security camera.
71. Sweet Tooth – Write 2 or more junk foods.
72. Tooling Around – Write 2 or more tool objects.
73. Washington – Chop down a Cherry tree.
74. Water Jockey – Use a sea animal as a vehicle.
75. Whisperer – Ride a hostile animal.
76. Zookeeper – Write two or more animals.

How to Get A Gold Star Puzzle Ranking
Complete a given puzzle on a level to be awarded a Silver Star on the Puzzle Selection Screen. However Silver Star is only the beginning. Replay the puzzle and you will enter “Advance Mode”, which is a bonus challenge. In this mode, if you beat the same level three times in a row with different objects each time, you can earn a Gold Star. However you can’t restart during this time, or you’ll have to re-do the challenge.

How to unlock the original Scribblenaut Costume
Complete all of the puzzle and action Challenge levels in Advance Mode to unlock the original costume design for Maxwell.

How to Unlock Title Screen Backgrounds
You can unlock up to additional Title Screen backgrounds during “Sandbox Mode” by typing in certain words when you are on the title screen. Here is a partial list of words that unlock backgrounds.

Background 02 – Type “cat”.
Background 03 – Type “car”.
Background 04 – Type “bee”.
Background 05 – Type “tree”.
Background 06 – Type “woman”.
Background 07 – Type “coffin”.
Background 08 – Type “vibes”.
Background 09 – Type “coin”.
Background 10 – Type “chair”.
Background 11 – Type “zombie”.
Background 12 – Type “court”.
Background 13 – Type “rain” and select “rain(water)”.
Background 14 – Type “it”.
Background 15 – Type “pc”.
