The Last Guardian new TGS 09 trailer and behind-the-scenes documentary
The Last Guardian is one of the most hightly anticipated upcoming games for any system, as it is the follow-up to ICO and Shadow of the Colossus on PS2. The first Team ICO game for a next-generation console.
This in-depth behind-the-scenes documentary gives you a deep look at the creation of The Last Guardian from designer Fumito Ueda. It includes discussions on the animal creature called Trico, who is central to both the gameplay and the story of the title, and how he came about from conception to finish, to the intense detail of the project down to the slightest point. There is a lot of discussion on realism and how they wanted the game to seem like reality even though it is actually fantasy.
It is a truly fascinating look from one of Japan’s most revered designers.
