Yakuza 3 English localization still in cards for Sega

Yakuza 3 may be coming to America after all, according to Sega of America who has confirmed that the game IS NOT cancelled as far as an English release is concerned.
Apparently the statement of “no English version of Yakuza 3 being localized says Sega” was a false story. Thus, Sega has is now stating that an English localization of Yakuza 3 for the PS3 is still in the cards and may indeed happen. Which is music to the ears of Yakuza fans.
To quote a Sega representative:
“Yakuza 3 is not canceled – and the possibility for localizing it does, in fact, still exist,” Sega of America assistant community manager Aaron Webber said on the PlayStation Blog. “The original news story that went around about Yakuza 3 being declined for the US was false, and localizing the game still remains a big point of discussion for many people here at SEGA, and especially those of us on SEGA’s community team. I know it’s far from an announcement, but I just felt you should know that the chance does still exist.” — Via 1UP
Update: It’s now being rumored that Yakuza 3 will come to Europe in March 2010, with the Castilian said to be doing the translation.
