Final Fantasy XIII story has 50 hours of playtime to finish

The story in FFXIII will be 50 hours long . . . and that doesn’t even include side-quests!

This according to producer Yoshinori Kitase. Who also revealed that the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII will be shipping on 3 discs with few differences between the two versions (PS3 & 360).

A few new Final Fantasy 13 characters were also revealed. One is the son of a character named Sazh, the other is an unnamed girl who wears a summer dress, white top, pink mini-skirt and a pink braid.

They also revealed that the English dub of the game is already finished! The final version will contain only Japanese and English voice acting, with subtitles in your native language.

The game has a current release date of Spring 2010 for Europe and the USA.

Wow, that’s crazy!! They really took advantage of the Blu-ray’s capacity for an RPG. This is another game on my list for 2010!

Wait..the English dub is finished? Why is it still coming out later in Europe and USA then?

Hopefully it doesn’t come out around the time Starcraft 2 does!

I think it’s coming out later because Japane always gets it first (lol) and US and Europe are also getting 360 versions.

That’s a huge game! :shock:

Both the Final Fantasy XIII and StarCraft II release dates are “to be determined”, although I’m expecting both in summer/mid-2010. At least I remember Final Fantasy XII coming out in August. I just checked and yeah that’s when they released the previous full sequel.

This could be either good or bad. If it is 50 hours of actual gameplay, then I am all for it. If it is 50 hours of the kind of filler material that destroyed lost odyssey, then god help us all.

whats slightly worrying for me is, i just completed disk 1 at 7 hours 21 minutes.
