World of Warcraft: The Magazine releasing in November thanks to Future Publishing

The BlizzCon 2009 show is going on as we speak. And one of the first pieces of news to come out of the conference is the announcement of WoW: The Magazine.
A joint collaboration between Future Publishing (who owns Nintendo Power, Official Xbox Magazine, Official PlayStation Magazine and Maximum PC) and Blizzard, the magazine will launch this November for $40 (one year) or $70 (two years). And that’s apparently the price for existing WoW subscribers.
But I guess when you’re subscription base for your MMO is over 11 million, you can do that kind of thing.
The mag will have a number of high profile writers enlisted, including Julian Rignall (Virgin) as executive director, Ryan Vulk (Wired) as art director, and Dan Amrich (Official Xbox Magazine senior editor).
“We’re bringing together an international team of player-writer experts to create in-depth articles about World of Warcraft’s design, art, lore, and community, as well as all aspects of its gameplay,” Rignall said.
As stated above, the 148-page introductory issue will be out this November, “in time for the fifth anniversary of World of Warcraft” and will be available in English, German, Spanish and French and will be released quarterly.
The upcoming publication will be sold through the game’s account management page, and the official World of Warcraft magazine web-site.
