It is possible that we may see some new Bullfrog Production sequels such as a new Duneon Keeper, Populous 4, Theme Hospital 2, or Magic Carpet 3.
That is because Electronic Arts, the owner of the Bullfrog IPs, know that it is sitting on a potential goldmine of classics that could be re-released and/or classics that could be revived with new, modern entries. And there is great interest in such a move.
EA’s Harvey Elliot has made Bullfrog fans happy with this statement:
“For me, I love the old Bullfrog IP, it got me really passionately into games, and I’m really proud that Bullfrog is part of the heritage of Bright Light”, he said, speaking with Kikizo. “I’m personally a huge fan of Populous and Theme Park, they were some of my favourite games – many years ago, obviously – and I’d love to see both of those remade. I’m going to look at them at some point, I think there’s an opportunity to bring those back in the future, but only if it’s right for the time and not just a ‘remake’ or something. We’d need to do it in a way that’s true to the original values, but would still make a great game today.”
While I was never a classic PC game player, my brother was always huge into Dungeon Keeper. It would be great to see some of these games revived. Back in 2008, EA admitted their mistake in buying Bullfrog and Westwood Studios and suffocating them. Maybe now they can make up for those mistakes with new entries in the classic franchises.

Who can we write to so we can show our support for these games on the next-gen platforms?? I have seen a release of Magic Carpet 1 on PS3 Playstation store.. but it’s definitely not as good as the 2nd one and a 3rd with up to date graphics but the same gameplay and story would be awesome!
Electronic Arts is in charge of development of any of those franchises now.
Seriously, if EA would make a new magic carpet/theme hospital/DK, and not a re-make, I would buy them all. Thoose are one of the best games made, ever. Think how amazing MC would be with todays graphics….OMG.
