The character roster for Bleach: The 3rd Phantom is over 180 strong! Unlike the previous two Bleach DS games, this game is a tactical RPG instead of a fighter. The game is scheduled for release on September 15th in the U.S. and first quarter of 2010 in Europe.

Two teams fight each others on an isometrically viewed battlefield in a style similar to the Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem games. When a character attacks an opponent, the screen switches to a side view, similar to the Bleach DS fighting games.

This game features a spin-off storyline in the Bleach continuity written for this game by Tite Kubo himself. And contains both returning characters as well as new characters. It even has a few exclusive characters.
