Wii and DSi lifetime sales revealed by Nintendo. Wii reaches 50 million milestone
Nintendo has revealed the lifetime sales of the DSi and their home console Wii platform.
As everyone knows, the Wii has been more profitable than anyone could ever have imagined, and the system has now passed the 50 million units sold milestone. The lifetime worldwide sales for Wii sit at 52.62 million units sold.
The DSi meanwhile was released last April and has passed the 6 in a half million mark, sitting at 6.68 million units sold since launch worldwide. That of course is on top of the normal DS sales, which sit at over 100 million. This brings the DS ever-closer to the Game Boy, who’s lifetime sales sit at 119 million units sold worldwide.
Impressive. Impressive indeed.
