Halo Chronicles not cancelled but on-hold, says Microsoft

It looks like Halo Chronicles may still be alive afterall . . . that is, if Microsoft is to be believed.
Microsoft has finally thrown their hat into the ring regarding the Halo Chronicles episodic game project that Peter Jackson was originally working on, with their own comment.
Recently Peter Jackson said Halo Chronicles and the Halo movie were no longer being worked on (i.e.= cancelled) but Microsoft has their own take on this whole situation.
“Microsoft Game Studios is deeply committed to supporting and strategically growing the Halo franchise, and our relationship with Peter and his team is something that we greatly value. Given the bandwidth of both of our companies we’ve decided to put this joint effort on hold and prioritize resources against other projects like Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach and Halo Legends.”
Hmm . . . well I guess we’ll just have to see what happens. Microsoft also hasn’t commented on their relationship with Jackson’s Wingnut Interactive company, which is apparently still working on a new gaming IP.
