NOD leader Kane shows the Tacitus to GDI
Electronic Arts released the very first Command & Conquer 4 trailer at Comic-Con 2009.

The classic RTS series returns exclusively to PC in 2010. This time around, in the world of 2062, the fate of the planet is at stake with Tiberium expected to overrun us all within six years. Similar to Command & Conquer 2: Firestorm, NOD and GDI find themselves at the same side with an enemy set to kill all of mankind! Except this time around, everyone will have to put their heads together, which is where this first footage steps in with the ever-mysterious Kane visiting GDI headquarters in Manchester, UK.

The final chapter of the Tiberium saga starts. Watch the Command & Conquer 4 premiere.

As you can see Kane’s holding the Tacitus! Which I still think belongs to peaceful aliens — more advanced than the evil Scrin — who sent this data matrix to Earth to help us defend ourselves.

JQ: After C&C3 on Xbox 360 and Red Alert 3 on PS3 both didn’t sell as much as EA had hoped… I guess they just went back to PC exclusivity. To be fair, RTS games like this with a lot of micro-management haven’t made the proper jump to consoles yet. So you can’t really blame them if their attempts didn’t catch on this generation. At least I bought it on both consoles and PC and gave it a try, but PC controls are clearly the best fit still.
