Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 5 releasing this November 2009 for PS2
Namco has announced Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 as the fifth installment in the best-selling series for the PlayStation 2. It will be released in November 2009 in Europe. No American or Australian release date has been announced.

The second title based on the NARUTO SHIPPUDEN anime, NARUTO Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 takes the player on a heart-pounding adventure from the point of Naruto’s return to Konoha to end of the second Sasuke Rescue Arc. Our hero will find himself once again taking on an ever more devious and powerful succession of enemies, relying on his faithful friends and incredible ninja skills to win the day.

Players who follow the story in Master mode will find the familiar gameplay has been greatly enhanced with new fighting styles for Naruto, brand new 3-man cell gameplay making full use of special abilities, and the ability to boost character stats for the first time as well as add equipment and upgrade Jutsus.

During battle players will also be able to select a partner character to join them in battle, which will increase your chance of victory. Selecting the right partner will give players the chance for special team-based Jutsus and Ougis adding more tactical decisions to the gameplay. You can also play as other characters to see the world from their eyes!

With a versus mode containing over 60 playable characters and 24 battle stages, NARUTO Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 boasts the largest content of all the games in the series so far. Players will be able to select from amongst their favourite characters and do battle either against the AI or take on a friend in punishing one-on-one ninja combat. Players will also have a lot to find and unlock with countless collectibles and an in-game shop.

The game is being developed by CyberConnect 2 and will features both Japanese audio as well as localization in five other languages.

I really hope a release date will come out for America. Even though I kinda been browsing other sites saying they won’t release it here ever. But that would be kinda stupid if they didn’t. My guess is they’ll want to wait till Shippuuden is further in dub on t.v. Since NUN4 came out before it aired Shippuuden on tv. Random guesses it seems but I really do hope this comes out. I love the NUN games.

Man i’ma a big naruto fan i like the games but only the ps2 though every copy they made gotten better and better every time i only have the last copy of nun4 and i still want more so come on with it please i’m drooling plus there are characters that are still missin on here like big ino,choji,kiba,shino,sauske,hinata,and it goes on like what about sai,yamoto,all the pains shoot i even want the lil frog on the game who taught jaraiya so come on with it man i’m waitin america is big fans too lol

I own all four ultimate ninja games and was very dissapointed with how short the main story mode was the filler wasn’t even that cool I hope and pray ultimate ninja 5 will come out cause it won’t make sense if they have it for Euroupe and the PAL regions I know their all about money but come on! My PS2 is begging for a new Naruto game…
