Borderlands release date falls on October 20th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC

Borderlands game releasing on October 20, 2009 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC from Gearbox
Borderlands from Gearbox Games has gotten an official U.S. release date of October 20th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game will also launch in Europe and Australia (among other territories) on October 23rd.

The first-person RPG game has a post-apocalyptic setting and will include vehicular combat in addition to battling on-foot. It will also include several multiplayer modes including one that allows four-players to quest at once in addition to other single and multiplayer modes. The game has four character types that you can choose from each with their own unique abilities.

Speaking of quests, the game will include over 160 quests of varying length and complexity, 30 of these being part of the story and the other 130 as side quests. The game also will feature an insane amount of randomization including randomized weapons allowing for over 650,000 weapons; 150,000 of which make use of alien technology.
