Mario Galaxy 2 to appeal to both veteran and casual gamers, says Miyamoto

Super Mario Galaxy 2 will appeal more to hardcore gamers than the previous game according to a new quote from the creator himself, Shigeru Miyamoto.
Speaking to Nintendo Power, Miyamoto had this to say about the upcoming sequel which is scheduled for release in 2010 for Wii.
“I do believe that there is a lot here to appeal to the more veteran and more experienced gamers, and I think it’s a title that they will obviously enjoy, but I really took it into consideration and tried to do our best to create a game that’s accessible to new gamers as well. And, you know, we also built it with consideration that we believe that people who played through the first Mario Galaxy have become better players.”
This certainly is good news to me. Even though the original Super Mario Galaxy had quite a bit of challenge in the awesome design of its stages, it is always good to know that Nintendo is still figuring out ways to appeal to the hardcore crowd. While not abandoning the newcomers and casuals, of course. — Via MyWii
