Worms out now on iPhone. Includes 4-player multiplayer
Worms has been released for iPhone and is available now at a price of $5 at the App Store.
Worms is a turn-based strategy game where players take turns controlling a team of adorable but dangerous worms who must annihilate the other team via a plethora of crazy weapons. In addition to blowing your opponents to bits, you can also utilize the terrain in a variety of ways since it is completely destructible.
This version of Worms features updated cartoon-style graphics, a new control system designed specifically for the iPhone, 50 different challenges, 6 unique environments, four-player multiplayer, and much more. They will also update the game soon to support iPhone 3.0 Features such as Bluetooth multiplayer.
Developer Team 17 released the original Worms game in 1995 for the Amiga, where it was a huge hit and has spawned other installments of the Worms franchise for nearly every game system.
Something tells me that this is only the beginning for the Worms on the iPhone.
