Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2010 is the next installment in Konami’s popular soccer simulation series. It will release on October 22nd for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. PlayStation 2 and PSP versions arrive on November 5th. And finally, a Wii version is also coming on November 19th, 2009.

Konami promises that “every element” of the game is being improved in this new version as they strive to create “the most realistic football simulation available.”

PES 2010’s new visual realism brings the beautiful game to vivid life, with unique skin textures for individual players, and a level of detail that allows users to see the different weaves used in the various kits, their animated faces, and even the hairs on their arms! The game also boasts an all-new dynamic lighting system, wherein shadows are cast in real-time, creating a photo-realistic look to the new game.

At the center of PES 2010, however, is an amazingly close representation of the pace and skill of top-level football. The PES Productions team has worked to recreate the pace and tactical approach of a top-flight game, with mature skill and vision needed to create space and scoring opportunities. No longer can users score soft goals via overly-familiar means, instead PES 2010 counters such play and constantly forces the user to spread the ball around as they would in a real match.

To this end, an all-new tactical system has been implemented. A new ‘Power Gauge’ system features an easy-to-use sliding bar system with several categories; half for defence, and the others for attacking play. These allow users to change their overall style of play with ease, and adopt strategies related to support for the player in possession, the space players leave each other, how often players change position, and the pressure put on the opposition when they have the ball.

It’s also interesting to note that this will be the first Konami game that supports online play without using the Konami ID system. So just connect and play. The servers this time around will also be maintained by Microsoft and Sony respectively (and I assume Nintendo for the Wii version if that version includes online play) instead of by Konami themselves.

Here is the debut trailer for the new footy game.

I played pes 2010 demo version on pc and although the graphics are astonishingly awsome the game play sucks big time. I really really wish that KONAMI people would do something about their continuously diminishing gameplay after 07. Specially the horrible first touches, slow-inaccurate passes and unrealistic crosses.

I also played the demo version and in my opinion it is as real as it gets….unlike the last version which was FULL of bugs (extremely strong players, ghost walking etc) this one is very, VERY good. So I honestly have to disagree with ‘Umer’,PES 2010 is awesome…

I played the demo version too.. and i’m amazed.. Konami has just perfect the most realistic system that has a very specific skills and power of each player.. in this case only Braça, liverpool.. but they did the right thing about those players I can’t wait to see how they’ve done Kaka from real madrid or Ronaldo.. probably the best two players in the game.. I hope.. btw Messi is just like messi in Real life! He even stops the ball just like he does always against some teams in the BBVA league he stats to run when he’s position is in front of goal… to make a long story short… PES 2010 KICKS FIFA’s ASS! don’t even think about playing that lame game.. that called FIFA
see ya latorz alyg4tor$

I just have the felling all those u-something are one person =))

played the demo of each fifa10 and pes10 have to say pes10 is more realistic… i deleted fifa10 demo and still play pes10 so take from that what you will but typical ea coding is crap twice the size of pes10 and the graphic’s were crap and it was lagging at times were pes10 demo on pc didn’t lag one bit and graphics looked awesome. Shape the pes10 demo was with xbox controls couldn’t sprint or do any tricks.

cud someone do me a favour and email me the pes 2010 demo version for pc havnt tried it out yet initt.. hear the games awesome from my mates just wnt to hv a look at it myself.. thanx:)
