Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe downloadable content cancelled. Playable characters like Quan Chi scrapped
Quan Chi and Harley Quinn character DLC was planned for Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe according to series creator Ed Boon, but will most likely never be released.
Above you can see a very nice render of Quan Chi in MK vs DC:U. He is looking quite good. Sadly even though the characters were finished and originally were planned for release as downloadable content, Midway’s complicated legal life has pretty much scrapped those plans. Unless new Midway owner Warner Bros. Interactive chooses to release them.
That isn’t likely though as the MK team is currently focused on the next big title in the series, Mortal Kombat 9.
Too bad. The character looks good. Hopefully he’ll also release images of Harley Quinn.
