Mechwarrior 5 announced via teaser trailers
MechWarrior 5 has been officially revealed!!!!!!!!
This is thanks to all-new teaser trailers that were posted on youtube from Piranha Games. This will be the first all-new installment in the mech combat series since the last game, Mechwarrior 4, was released way back in 2000!
No other information was released on the game including platforms or an “official” announcement. Update: Series co-creator Jordan Weisman has confirmed the game for both PC and Xbox 360. Simply titled MechWarrior, it’s in development at Piranha Games (of Transformers 2 game fame) and Smith & Tinker. The game is being developed using the Unreal Engine 3, but still maintains the “action sim” style of past games.
The game is to feature a cooperative mode with up to four players, multiplayer modes with ranks comparible to Call of Duty. They’re aiming for cross-platform play between all modes.
