Aion MMO release date is September 22nd, 2009
Publisher NCSoft has announced a U.S. release date of September 22nd, 2009 for Aion: The Tower of Eternity, their highly anticipated MMORPG in which players can literally spread their wings and fly as they play a key role in a war between beings that will determine the fate of the world. Aion will launch in Europe on September 25th, three days after the North American launch.
If you haven’t heard of Aion, it will cut a unique swath into the MMO marketplace by offering a game in which flight is an intergral part of every aspect of the title. Not only will you get to adventure through the skies exploring their brilliant in-air structures, but flight will also be an integral part of combat and quests.
In Aion players will dive into battle and plunge through thousands of unique, story-driven quests, all while trying to save a world literally shattered in half from centuries of brutal conflict. Using one of the most flexible and in-depth character customization systems ever featured in an MMO, players will be able to create genuinely distinct characters and explore a visually stunning world of ethereal beauty brimming with otherworldly inhabitants, mysterious enemies, and ancient secrets.
Along with the hitting retail stores, Aion will also be available for download via Steam, Direct2Drive, or directly from NCsoft.com. There is also an Aion preorder promotion that gives players access to Aion Closed Beta events that they can partake in.
