Duke Begins is cancelled Duke Nukem game
An all-new but cancelled Duke Nukem titled has been uncovered. Known as “Duke Begins”, the game was revealed via the lawsuit between 3DRealms and publisher Take Two.

The game was in the works by an apparent “well-known videogame developer” and was supposed to be released by mid-2010. The funding for the title was started via an agreement in October of 2007 between Take Two and 3DRealms. Actual development on the title began two months prior to the agreement being signed.

UPDATE
It has been revealed that the developer of Duke Begins was Gearbox Software (Aliens: Colonial Marines, Borderlands).

More on the game can be read on Shacknews.

Even worse, now 3DRealms are even claiming towards Take-Two in the courtcase between the two, that Duke Nukem Forever is still in development!?! But how can that be after they fired that development team! This is getting even more ridiculous with the cancellation of this Duke Nukem Begins game.

I was getting excited about Duke again, after playing the Duke Nukem 3D remake on XBLA too.
