The Wiimbledon 2009 tournament event starts on June 27th. All the money earned from the event will be donated to Penny Arcade’s Child’s Play Charity.

They are hoping this year to raise enough money to give Child’s Play the largest single sum ever! To do this they’ve asked hundreds of tech companies to give them all manner of prizes which they will be auctioning off at the event. Including a huge sponsor who has yet to be revealed.

If you want to have fun, drink beer, mingle, party and play some Wii Sports Tennis for a good cause, then this is the event for you. For more information make sure to follow the Wiimbledon 2009 Twitter.

Too bad I’m not in New York, cause this would be a really fun thing to attend!

I’m to busy playing Rockstar Table Tennis on my 360 to care for this wimbledon rip-off. mcjakeqcool

I think it’s great they are doing this for charity. Child’s Play is pretty much my favorite charity anyway with it giving lots of games to sick kids and all.
