Take the following steps in this guide to unlock each of the 12 secret characters you can play as in Naruto Shippuden Ninja Council 4 on DS.

Cheats to unlock Naruto characters (these might only work in the Japanese version of the game):

1. Gaara: Press Down, Up, Down, Up, Left, Left to open the Password Menu. Then enter the cheat code “Sand Box”.
2. Itachi: Press Down, Up, Down, Up, Left, Left to open the Password Menu. Then enter the cheat code “Sharingan Demon”.
3. Might Guy: Press Down, Up, Down, Up, Left, Left to open the Password Menu. Then enter the cheat code “Youth”.
4. Temari: Press Down, Up, Down, Up, Left, Left to open the Password Menu. Then enter the cheat code “Strong Wind”.
5. TenTen: Press Down, Up, Down, Up, Left, Left to open the Password Menu. Then enter the cheat code “Ninja Tools”.

Tips to buy unlockable Naruto characters:

6. Deidara: Buy from Neji’s Experience Shop after beating the game.
* Gaara: Buy from Naruto’s Experience Shop after beating the game.
* Itachi: Buy from Sakura’s Experience Shop after beating the game.
7. Jiraya: Buy from Naruto’s Experience Shop.
8. Kankuro: Buy from Neji’s Experience Shop
9. Kisame: Buy from Kakashi’s Experience Shop after beating the game.
10. Red Haired Sasori: Buy from Rock Lee’s Experience Shop after beating the game.
11. Shikamaru: Buy from Rock Lee’s Experience Shop.
* Temari: Buy from Kakashi’s Experience Shop.
12. Tsunade: Buy from Sakura’s Experience Shop.
