At Ubisoft’s E3 2009 press conference, in between all of the company’s biggest titles, codename Project Eden was announced as in the works with the Japanese studio Q Entertainment. In the past few years that studio has been responsible for puzzle music-rhythm games like the Lumines, Every Extend Extra and Meteos series.

During the conference Ubisoft North America president Laurent Detoc hinted that the game will provide “new sensory experiences.”

Which you might consider to be vaguely worded, but with descriptions like that he’s clearly been talking to Q Entertainment founder Tetsuya Mizuguchi (of Rez and Space Channel 5 fame) who loves his games non-genre-specific.
