Bioshock 2 release date is February 9, 2010 worldwide for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

Bioshock 2 releases soon
Update: BioShock 2 has a final worldwide release date of February 9th, 2010 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Original article: Bioshock 2 has gotten official release dates for both America and Europe! This was announced ahead of E3 2009 (taking place June 2nd to June 4th in L.A.) during Take-Two’s second quarter financial conference all by CEO Ben Feder.

Bioshock 2 will be released in North America on Tuesday, November 3rd and in Europe on Friday, October 30th! This year of course.

However Take Two did not list WHICH platforms the game would be released on for those days, so that may mean that one of the three versions (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC) will be delayed. If I had to guess I would say the PS3 version but don’t quote me on that. Because there is a definite chance that the game will in fact be released on all three platforms on the due date. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Update: BioShock 2 will bring two unique, yet intertwined experiences that form the perfect blend of explosive first-person shooter combat, compelling storytelling and intense multiplayer action.

Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past. Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city of Rapture. Players step into the boots of the most iconic denizen of Rapture, the Big Daddy, as they travel through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city, chasing an unseen foe in search of answers and their own survival.

Here is a trailer showing off the game’s multiplayer.
