Metroid Prime Trilogy Wii set includes updated Prime 1, Prime 2 and Prime 3 for $50

Metroid Prime Trilogy includes Prime 1, Prime 2 and Prime 3 for $50!
Nintendo has announced Metroid Prime Trilogy as a three-game set (all on one disc) that includes Metroid Prime 1, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption all for $50! It releases on August 24th for Wii.

Fifty bucks is what Metroid Prime 3 retails for normally, so it’s really like you are getting the first two Metroid Prime games for free! And they aren’t just normal ports either, but they will have upgrades as well.

Metroid Prime 1 and 2 have been enhanced with the same exact control scheme from Metroid Prime 3, where you use the Wii Remote to point at the screen and the Nunchuck to move around. The graphics have also been enhanced with bloom lighting effects, load times have been enhanced, and Samus can now do the Ball Bomb Jump in all three games where you can have her launch higher in ball form by timing a flick of the Wii Remote upward when the Bomb goes off.

In addition, Nintendo has applied the achievement system from Prime 3 to the first two Prime games. That means you will earn “Tokens” as you play through Prime 1 and Prime 2 and you can then use them to purchase unlockables such as artwork or songs from the game’s soundtrack.

And because all of the games are one disc, you will access each game from a menu screen where you can play whichever game you want at whatever time. Additionally the multiplayer from Prime 2 is accessible straight from said menu.
