Assassins Creed 2 video interview with creative director Patrice Desilets. Just in: Wii and PSP confirmation!
A new interview for Assassins Creed 2 has been posted with Ubisoft creative director Patrice Desilets, who is the mastermind behind the Assassins Creed series.
In the interview he discusses why they chose Italy as the location for the game and what went into that decision. He talks about how they can “bend the rules of reality” a little bit in their videogame to make the locations match what they desire. He summarizes the storyline for the game. And he talks about how “vengeance” and “passion” are the main themes, among other things.
Take a look at the video interview below.
In addition to being confirmed for release this Christmas/Holiday 2009, Assassins Creed 2 was also confirmed for release on “all current-gen systems”. That exact wording suggests that not only is the game coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but also Wii, according to IGN. There is also rumor making the rounds that the game will be hitting the PSP as well. If it does release on Wii that will be a huge deal because the first game was never released for the system.
