Full Guitar Hero Smash Hits song list revealed. See the complete 50-track set list including videos!

Activision has revealed the complete 50-track song list for Guitar Hero: Smash Hits. The set list is entirely made up of master recordings instead of cover versions as always. The game contains a compilation of songs from previous Guitar Hero games, particularly Guitar Hero 1, Guitar Hero 2, Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock and Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s. The popular music-rhythm game will be released for Xbox 360, PS2, PS3 and Wii in America on June 16th, 2009.

The below list is ordered by band name and followed by song title. You’ll notice they link to a video of the song itself or a music video of the song (depending on availability), each video will pop up in a new window for you to watch when you click on the link.

unfortunately i couldn’t justify spending all that money for about 10 songs which i like. They’d probab;y make much more money releasing DLC.

Can you save the songs to your hard drive like rock band 2? or do you have to play each disc seperately to play the dong sets? If it’s the latter then it’ll still be Rock band all the way for me.

fokkers rockband is just terrible guitar hero is the best music game made. the gameplay in guitar hero is way better. the hammer-ons pickups and sensitivity are so much better in guitar hero, and the drums are better in guitar hero as well. rockband copied a bunch of guitar hero’s songs as well.its just a terrible game. end of story.

how can it be a terrible game when it is identical in a lot of ways (i’ve played guitar hero extensively as well as rock band). Ultimately they are the same game, both playable, both music, made by almost the same developers.

Both games have their good and bad points

wuts good bout this game if u cant get the good songs on it? i mean hell..even with sweet chid o mine..thats a fun song to play… damn GNR haters… is at least a way to get the song on there?

I am a huge GH fan but I am dissipoited about the song list. There are over 200 songs on all those games combined, but they only picked 50 and even some of those aren’t good. I’d rather them not put out the game, untill they put the rest of the songs on there, or am I the only one who thinks that??? What do you say Fokkers, happygolucky8??? Is the game worth buying if it doesn’t have Scorpions, GNR, ZZ Top, Disturbed or other Aerosmith songs????

I’m with everyone else on this one. I’m a big fan of the drums and it’s nice that they have Slayer, Motley Crue and Rush on there but no Slipknot? Slipknot would be fun as hell to play with the double bass. GH is letting all the Maggots down…

and wheres Metallica?? at least one song could be there..

this game… EPIC FAIL definetly NOT the best music on GH games… might be… most boring songs to play on GH

i usually play GH but Rock band is making its way out with the awesome Iron maiden pack and good DLC

guitar hero is not.. only Death magnetic was good DLC
